Presentation and Mission

O Journal of Applied Education (JEDAP), ISSN 3086-0954, is dedicated to promoting the reflection and exchange of experiences about educational practices that work. Its main objective is to connect the theory into practiceto encourage innovation in teaching and help in teacher and manager training.

The newspaper also functions as a practical learning environment for students of Postgraduate program in Educational Technologies at IBPTECH CollegeThis allows them to develop. editorial experience and publish relevant and critical content for the education sector.

We adopted the format of continuous publication, which means that the newspaper has annual periodicitybut it receives articles and publishes them. whenever they are ready, throughout the year. We accept both articles sent directly by the authors as much guest articles Submissions can be made by the editorial staff, provided they follow our publication guidelines.

Thematic Areas of Interest

JEDAP encourages the submission of papers that align with the following themes, among other related topics:

1. Emerging Technologies and Learning Design

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Education: Use, ethical challenges and impact of Generative AI. Learning Analytics (Learning Analytics) and adaptive systems in personalized education.
  • Extended Realities (XR): Research on the use of Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Metaverse in the educational context.
  • Educational Design and Technology: Models Design Thinking, technology-mediated active methodologies (e.g. blended learning, Flipped Classroom) and Instructional Design for digital environments.
  • Gamification and Educational Games: Analysis of the impact and effectiveness of gamification and digital games on engagement and cognitive development.

2. Inclusion, Accessibility and Equity

  • Assistive Technologies: Development and evaluation of technological resources that promote accessibility and the inclusion of students with special needs.
  • Digital Literacy and Citizenship: Strategies for developing digital competence and critical thinking in the information society.
  • Infrastructure and Public Policies: Analysis of the equity in access to and use of technologies and the impact of public education policies.

3. Teacher Training and Evaluation

  • Teacher Training: The role of technologies in initial and continuing teacher training, and the development of digital literacy for teachers.
  • Technology Assessment: Methods and results of evaluating the effectiveness, usability, and user experience (UX) of educational tools and platforms.
  • Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs): Studies on the architecture, management, and pedagogical strategies used in distance learning platforms and virtual learning environments.
